Our Final Holiday in States!

Finally had the time to finish up the post for our holiday!!! It seems to take me forever eh!
Anyway have disappeared for a while coz our family were here to visit last few weeks! They were here in AZ for 3 days and then we all went to Orlando and Niagra Falls! It was a wonderful break especially catching up with our family and having some teenagers goofing around us all the time, bringing us joy! Am missing them so much now can't wait to get home to Singapore!
Anyway there were loads and loads of pictures taken on the trip coz we had so many cameras! Haha so I shall just share a few in this holiday post!
Arizona (15th Nov to 17th Nov 2008) Here's an introduction of everyone first... The whole family at Mimi's Cafe for our first dinner together.
This is Jason's dad and mum...
This is Jason's Sua Cek (Jason's dad younger brother) and Sua Chim plus their god-daughter Tracy and god-son Edwin .
This is Sua Chim's sister and her family. We have Aunty Valerie, Uncle Amos and their 2 girls Celine and Cheryl.
Since Phoenix was a stop for their Jet Lag and as usual since there's nothing much to do in Phoenix all we did was brought them to Grand Canyon and the base to see the planes. Ok I didn't go to Grand Canyon since I did not want to sit on the 4 hrs journey so I decided to skip that :)

Florida-Orlando (18th Nov to 22nd Nov) We were there for about 4 nights and the 4 kids plus uncle Amos had a 4 day park hopper where they went to check out all the theme parks like Animal Kingdom, Disney Hollywood... etc while us adults and esp me who can't take much rides decided to go go to 2 theme parks. We went to Disney Hollywood and Epcot. The rest of the time were spent shopping! :)
The entire 3 nights we were there, Sua Chim cooked dinner for all of us! It was great, everyone was sick of american food and the restaurants ain't that cheap anywayz and so we went to Walmart to shop for groceries the first night we were there! Everyone had fun grocery shopping I'm sure the kids too! We even rented a few DVDs from redbox to watch with the kids in the night!

You wonder how come we can cook? Cause we were staying in a timeshare resort that Sua Cek and Sua Chim's niece have bought! It was pretty cool! Even the little ones help out with the chores! So guai!

We sat on this really cool ride into the future where at the start of the ride they took pictures of you and then they insert the pictures into their system for you to view and play around with! I forgot what it is called though. Here's mum and dad!
And this was Jason and me! We had quite a bit of laugh! Coz we look kinda comical!
We stopped by a stall that says Famous Fish and Chips and of course we have to try right!? Well it was not bad indeed!

See this cute pic! It's a little person in 3D glasses haha and my belly button is his nose... We were waiting to watch Honey I shrunk the Audience while the kids took this pic haha...
We were also very lucky there were fireworks the day we were there of course we have to watch! They only have it on Wednesdays (which we were there) and weekends! The fireworks were beautiful! And at the end they lit up this beautiful tall Christmas tree...
We went to Disney Downtown after the fireworks and walk around abit. It feels abit like Universal walk back in LA.
The next day while the kids went to their 2nd park, we spent our day having a simple dim sum lunch and shopping at the premium outlets in Orlando.

Next day- Disney Hollywood

We went for a 3D show, I think its the muppet 3D show...Me, Ed and Tracy with our nerdy purple glasses.
Since my first vist to Disneyland, I've always wanted to try out those big big turkey legs that I see ppl walking around Disneyland with but never had the chance! And this time round with everyone around, I was finally able to have the turkey leg!
Sua Chim and Mum cutting up the Turkey leg into small small pieces for everyone to try... I must say the meat wasn't fantastic, a bit tough in fact. Hehe.
Here's me with the empty bone! Kakaka... It's really huge!
And Sua Cek, so smiley and happy, seems like he finished the leg himself?!
This is a new game they had in Disneyland, a 3d Shooting game, toy story version! All of us rate it as the best game ever! The average waiting time for the game is 70mins ok! Thank god all of us got fast pass and we didn't have to wait that long!
While waiting... The decor is really cute, check out this huge crayola... Haha...

We also bought Caleb his very first stuff toy at Disneyland, thought that since he is going to be born in the year of the rat, A baby mickey is going to suit him very well! Hehe...
We also watch Indiana Jones and fantasmic at Disneyland to end the day!
The next day, we went for another round of shopping while the kids went to their 4th round of the theme park! We enjoyed our lunch and had Krispy Kreme!
And in the night we went for this dinner show called Arabian Nights. Where it was like a circus show with beautiful horses performing! We were also served dinner at the show...

We went back for an early night after the show coz we had an early flight to Buffalo, New York so that we can be at Niagra Falls the next morning then I realise we never manage to check out the universal walk at Orlando... Hmmm.
Oh before I end this section, here's a picture of Jason's loot from Hugo Boss...

Niagra Falls (23rd Nov to 25th Nov)
Ooh gosh by the time I am at this section of the post I've almost forgotten what I wanna blog about! Its the best if an event is still fresh in your mind and you can easily blog about it... Guess procrastination just negative! So i'll try to see what I can remember but mostly I'll be sharing some photos... :)
Since we were at Buffalo, New York, we have to check out their famous Buffalo wings right, so at the car rental office we asked for directions to a popular Buffalo Wings restaurant, they told us to go to Duffs.
They do serve very nice Buffalo Wings!

Niagra Falls is like one of the most magnificent and beautiful sight of nature I've ever seen... The natural water falls are just gorgeous! The weather's duper duper cold over there though. I think I will actually enjoy it even better if its summer time... When you are out in the cold you just want to hide yourself and keep yourself warm! Haha...
Actually you are able to see the falls from both the Cananda and USA but of course the Canada side of the view is much much better so of course we went over to the other side since we already have to travel so far just to check out the falls! So I guess I consider myself to have been in Canada before?!

Had an all you can eat breakfast for less than $10 the next morning! But of course being small eaters buffets are most often a waste... Haha. Only Edwin the growing boy ate the most and seems to make the buffet most worthwhile keke!
After that a morning walk along the falls... Here's Edwin and Jason with the Canadian Falls behind them...

The other Fall is known as the horseshoe fall, I guess with the bend it does looks like a horseshoe bend. As you can see most of it is covered by mist... Gorgeous right...

Next up we went to check out the ice wine vineyards! There's nothing much to do there at the falls... but there are some shows to watch we were not too interested in, so I was so happy to know that there are vineyards coz Jason and I just love to be at vineyards where its all peaceful and beautiful!
And guess where we went to? Inniskillin ice wine! You've heard of it before? I think its one of the most popular ice wine amongst Singaporeans... 1 bottle I think cost about $90 SGD at DFS?

And here are the cold cold grapes... Super big bunches of them. They are apparently all harvest in January...

The "Big Kids" and the small kids all had a wonderful snowball fight at the vineyard haha... Esp Edwin who was being ambush by everyone!

They have really beautiful packages of icewine with Riedel wine glasses and all, here's an example.
After a vineyard tour, we had wine tasting!
Of course me and the kids aren't old enough for the wine or was too pregnant for that... The tour guide gave us sparkling grape juice! SO nice of him ya!

Had a chinese dinner to end the night. The next day we went our separate ways, with Jason and I going back to Phoenix, and the rest of the gang going to New York, LA and Vegas before heading home. It was a great trip on the whole makes me miss our family even more! Can't wait to be back home for good soon!
