New PJ bottom!
Wednesday, April 08, 2009
Love my new PJ bottoms from Victoria Secrets! Last week, I accidentally drop my pink ball point pen into the laundry and my favorite pair of Marks and Spencers PJ bottoms came out of the machine with bright pink blotches!!! Oops... A good chance to buy myself a new pair of PJ bottoms! Love the length and the pockets on my new bottom! Yeah... cost me USD$20...hopefully this time round it last longer than my 3 year old M&S PJ bottom...
Whoo hooo! My favorite TV series is back yesterday! We are still on Season 2 but brand new episodes!!! The characters are gorgeous! Love their clothes and the unexpected twist and turns in the characters' lives!!! I love the gorgeous Blake Lively and Leighton Meester and especially cute Chace Crawford and the coolest Ed Westwick with his funky clothes! Can't wait for ep 19 next Mon!
I know! It's been a while since I've last blog! Can't blame me, our lives are revolving around Caleb's so much that we don't really have time for ourselves!
Well as soon as we get back home to SG I guess we have to get our families to babysit once a month or so to catch up on couple time! Haha...
Well I thk it will be better when he is around 6 mths of age! By then he will be started on solids and will be easier to arrange for a babysitter!
Anywayz, recently I've been hooked on Stephenie Meyer's book- TWILIGHT! It's a vampire romance novel. OMG I'm a sucker when it comes to romance and I just love to get myself engrossed in such books and to fall in love with the characters for a while! I was so addicted that I couldn't get enuf and I was so happy when I found out that the author came out with a series to soothe my addiction!!! And soI went out to get the rest of the 3 books and my Twilight Saga was completed in less than 2 weeks... Spent a total of $60USD at Barnes and Nobles!!! Grrrr....
Well the books were great. Stephenie Meyer is a really good writer. Her descriptons were so vivid that they planted images of the story in my head. Still the first book was still the best. The rest of the other 3 were so so to me. If anyone wants to read th entire series, I'm more than happy to loan it!
Since Caleb refused to come out this weekend, we took the opportunity to check out Dale Chihuly's creation at the Desert Botanical Gardens. An artist who revolutionalizes the art of handblown glass. I seen the billboard ad along the expressway and was totally attracted by the beautiful and vibrant glass colors, told Jason about this incredible artist and we decided to take a nice drive down to the gardens to admire his installations today.
It was a beautiful day as well, weather was just nice not to cold and the sun was lovely! We all enjoyed ourselves!
This is the artist, Dale Chihuly.
A very interesting piece, sis commented that he probably got his inspiration of his hairstyle. Oops.
Me and Sis... with some "scorpions" behind us.
Stopping for lunch. An "artistic" shot of my dear sis.
I think it looks Medusa-y
Beautiful pink glass...

This year's December is one of the best we had... Post Christmas we had a super long chill out week and followed by New Year week we had like a 4 day long break as well! Too bad we weren't allowed to travel otherwise I'm sure I would have love to go to Alaska or even Hawaii!
We had a small gathering of friends over for a steamboat dinner during New Year's Eve and to watch New York Times Square countdown on TV. It was a pretty cool idea to have the steamboat coz it was so cold outside so something hot and soupy was fun!
Here's Frosty with his party hairband! Happy new year all you four legged friends! May you be able to smell more trees, flowers and bushes and mark more territory then any other dogs in the year 2009!
Me and Gail while waiting for the rest to arrive... Hungryz...
Hubby and me all ready to eat! He was complaining let me start! No pics no pics! Haha...
Raj, Sean and Ben
The ladies with the little prince charming
The guys all ready to countdown!

I promise to post about our Xmas Eve party and here it is! Not much updates since my brain has recently turned into mush...
Xmas is my favorite festive season of the year and when we were in SG we will always love to organise parties at our place hehe but last year since my sis was here and we were away in Utah, skiing, we didn't have a party but a rather nice small dinner with our group of friends and of course my darling sis!
This year since I am not allowed to travel when I hit 36 weeks in my pregnancy, we decided to have a fun one at one place just in case I pop anytime! And it was wierd how everyone wasnt away for Xmas as well and we had about 15 over guests in our tiny little apt!
The party was wonderful and everyone had fun and you must check out the spread we had it was crazy! So much food we could not finish at all! Was really happy to know that most of our friends commented it was one of the most fun parties they ever been too hehe... Thanks guys, you peeps made our Xmas extremely memorable as well. Nothing beats a good ol crowd of friends hanging out together during festive holidays!
Everyone participated in the games we organised as well! We got a new BINGO twirler which I couldn't wait to lay my hands on and we played it during the party! During the first round, Ben and Est won about $17 from the BINGO tix we pooled together and at the second round, Jane won about $60 bucks if I remember correctly!!! SO lucky ya! :)
We also had loads of fun playing Christmas version of "Win Lose or Draw"...The party was divided into 2 teams- the guys versus the gals and guess who won!? The gals of course and the guys were made to sing a Xmas Carol after that as a forfeit... They were really cool about it though and gave us an outstanding performance! Most of us wanted an Encore!
Hehe... Then we played Taboo and one of our friends Raj got so addicted to the game haha... he asked to play again during New Year Eve!
Jervis and Gail won at the "guess the items in the sock" contest where I place 10 items (11 items accidentally into the sock) and they are suppose to guess and spell correctly what are the items in there! On the whole, it was definitely one of the most wonderful and memorable party we've had so far!!!
Now pictures time! The crazy spread... contributed by everyone... Mini quiches, pasta, mushroom soup, curry vege and a huge fondue machine which Jasmine and Skid brought, it was so fun!
We also have grilled lamb shanks...
And some yummy deserts that Jane bought!
See even Frost couldn't stand it and wanna have a share!
Us with the chocolate fondue machine. Crazy eh...
Frost got bullied by Uncle Psycho and his candy Canes...
Playing Taboo... They seemed to be punished by Est wor... And J just standing at one side sniggling
The guys performing a Christmas Carol!
Our dirty Santa gift Exchange
And of course must take a pic with my dear friends ya!
I haven't posted any pictures from our Xmas Party... our NYE party... Sigh coz I've been so lazy to upload anything!
I am on a baking binge! With my new Kitchen Aid Mixer and Food processor! Haha... Here's what I made so far!
Pandan Yummy Cake...
My sis says it looks pretty pro la haha... Cool but I didn't put enough Pandan Paste it would taste much better with more paste!
And check out the obscene amount of pineapple tarts I've bake for friends here! Hyak Hyak Hyak... Bigger bottled ones for Jason's colleagues with family....
Smaller bottle ones for those single guys...
All packed and ready to be delivered!
Dawn do you think we can make and sell them next year wa ha ha! My sis and Jason says they are delicious la! But I think there's so much work... I would only make them for my loved ones... Hehe...
My darling sis is here and she and my darling husband has been looking after me! Hehe... Here's what they make for dinner on Saturday night! Stir fry vermicilli with Cabbage.
Egg Onion
Sesame Oil Chix
My 2 dearest chefs cum confinement AUNTIES! Hyak Hyak Hyak... Feel so pampered especially since nowadays I haven had the strength to think of what to cook!

Ok going out for lunch with my sis now while darling is at work. Promise to post about the Xmas and NYE party when I'm back!
Yet another year has gone by and here we are saying bye bye to a 2008 and a huge welcome to 2009. Have you made your new year resolution yet? I seem not to have made any resolutions for many years already since I have never seemed to be fulfilling them!
How would you summarise your year 2008? I would say mine has been a wonderful one, especially with Caleb arriving soon and of course filled with so many beautiful memories that are shared by many loving friends and my family though they are so far away!
I would like to thank especially Kit and Gail my dear girls who have been here for me the entire year - my one and only family over here, you ladies are what made life here even more memorable! I love you girls... Let's keep the fire burning in our friendship alright, muackz.
Of course not forgetting my darling friends and family back in SG who have always kept us in their thoughts and prayers. We love you guys too! Can't wait to get back home and spend time with everyone face to face again!
Happy New Year everyone and may 2009 be an even better one for you than 2008!
Oh and here I'm making pineapple tarts today! Thanks to dear Dawn for her secret recipe! Love you babe! Muackz... Its very very very yummy!
