Daddy insists that I must put this video up! Here's him bullying little Frosty! The video is a little bit dark though coz it was taken last night and the lights were not on. Daddy loves to place the little toy which we bought from SG during our last trip and hang it on his tail! And Frost will then spin around trying to get it off, pretty hilarious...
Anyway haven't been blogging about school and here are some updates! We are having a mid sem next week! Arghhh exams and tests I hate it! Baking is super fun especially when you are in school and you have everyone contributing in cleaning the space up afterwards! Haahaa... I hate to bake at home, messing up the kitchen with flour, pans and trays...
Anyway last week and this week classes were all about breads breads and breads! I can't wait to be back in Singapore so that I can buy my Kitchen Aid mixer! All my baking equipment hehe! Brush aside being homesick, Now here's an overload of some pictures I took! :P Some are from the hdp so the resolution are not really that great. Wanted to compile the pictures into a montage but too lazy to use the photoshop after using the video maker to make Frosty's video!
So now there they are! Last week we make this yummy soft rolls... Which I think next time I can add like hot dogs and all those other toppings so that they can taste like those bread we have back home in SG... The rolls here are mostly plain rolls or sweet rolls with fruits or savory ones with cheese... Of course the rolls me and my partner made can't fight with the ones like those in breadtalk or crystal jade, maybe after a few more trials, I'll be able to perfect them! Haha... "think long long..."
And remember I made Curry puffs the other week, I used the left over filling and we had curry buns for breakfast! They were really really yummy!
We also made bread loaves and this big bun of loaf was demostrated by our instructor Chef Steve! Looks good eh! So pretty...
We also Braid a loaf... :) Very cute!
And these loaves of bread are yummilicious! I couldn't buy all of them home though cause its only Jason and me at home and we won't be able to finish them, so I only bought the soft rolls back home! :)
French bagutte me and my classmate made on Tuesday! I think this picture was taken before it went into the oven a little pale... Cut into shapes like a little plant! So pretty. It's meant to become bite size piece and we can just peel them easily for dinner! We didn't made the traditional one long loaf you see in the market... Cause we love how the shape looks haha...
Out from the oven! See a little more brown?
My favorite bread of all! Herb Foccacia! The herbs smell so nice! Yumz yumz... This one was a little bit hard but still not too bad. The one Chef demostrated was so soft and nice! Here's his! Look at the soft looking inside of his demo, ours had so much air holes in it!
And tada here's what we made today! Pizza dough from scratch! It is so niceeeeee! Thin crust and heartilicious! This one was demostrated by Chef Steve!
Here's one of my classmate Frances cutting up the pizza I made! Am so going to try making them on my own at home! I love thin crust pizzas!
And last but not least Brioche! We made the plain ones and have them egg wash and covered with sanding sugar, some with pastry cream and covered with streusel, also some with apricots... We also made Pumpkin Brioche, which you need to develop an acquired taste for if you don't like pumpkin, and I kinda like it... Haha... Good for Halloween or Thanksgiving I think!
Gonna be making Pie next week! Apple pie! Yeah my fav!
It's gonna be mooncake festival very soon, I think coming Sunday? But I'm so lazy to make the mooncakes after all the baking in school, feel like just buying them from the supermarket but we don't eat so much mooncakes also haha... Maybe shall skip another year of mooncakes and wait till next year for my Swissotel Ping Pi mooncakes! Arghhh... There's gonna be a big piss up tomorrow for a batch of people going back next tuesday and Dawn is one of them! Sob gonna miss her. See you back home babe!
K la... Dunnoe what to blog about anymore kinda sleepy and my tummy feels super heavy! Nights peeps...
