Yet another random post
Tuesday, July 29, 2008

My my.... yet another week has pass just like that, don't you find that time passes really really quickly? Ok yet another random post as I have nothing interesting happening in my life still at the moment!

Congratulations to Edleen and Ivan! Baby Brandon is out! We went to visit them last Friday and he is so cute! Did not manage to take any pictures of him though!

Also Baby William, son of Sarah and Jason is also out on Thursday! Here's a picture of him taken by his mummy! So cute ya! Awwww...

Made prawn noodles for lunch and dinner on Monday and darling claim, "baby, your prawn mee's getting better and better, now GOT standard liao." Hehe its definitely fun to cook and have someone praise your cooking skills, makes you want to cook even better food!

So anyway, Lennon commented darling is starting to put on weight again so, I guess, I'm back to my old way of cooking before the pregnancy and before the sea of nauseous and vomitting bout had hit me! So happy... Jason mentioned that he wanted me to go to the gym with him tonight, we shall see haha, he is having some neck pain, I bet by the time he is home tonight, he will say, ah forget about Gym... kekeke.

Here's a pic of the prawn mee, I must say its really yummy la, maybe I do have some of mummy's cooking genes after all! Haha... The pic is a bit blur, I desperately need a new camera!

Last week, Serene made some superbly yummy curry puffs for us to eat! So happy... Check it out,

I must say my curry cooking skills are still really really lousy and I don't think I can make any curry puffs at the moment still! Grrr...

After speaking with Serene, I've decided not to waste my time away in Arizona but take up the baking classes offered by the Estrella Mountain Community College which ends in Dec! It's gonna start on Aug 26th and I just can't wait! Been bumming around and sleeping way too much, I need some distractions in life. Darling accompanied me to sign up for the class but I tell you it can be real expensive, a class for just 2 months came up to a whopping $300 plus USdollars! But Jason is really really really supportive! While at EMCC signing up for the class, he was looking through the brochure and the school and exclaimed, wow so many interesting classes and the school is really cool, we should have come here earlier! I guess he just want me to make better food for him to eat! Haha... Now the problem's gonna be the usage of the car since its going to be 2 times a week for classes and we only have 1 car! We'll see how it goes!

Orientation for the classes is going to be this Monday! I'm so excited!!! Going to spend some more money to make a little uniform as well since its a standard that all students should get the uniforms even though you are only going for 1 class! I wonder, what size is going to fit me since I'm going to be ballooning all the way till Dec! Let's see what the tailor says!

Frosty really cute this few days, I wonder if all dogs get cuter and cuter every day, making you fall in love with them more and more, and I think and additional 1% everytime? It's been 12 years and he is still as cute! Just last Sunday, Kit and Derek bought Frosty a little toy to play with, we brought it back for him and immediately he was so happy with it though I think he caught a little sniff of Waldo's scent on it and was a bit suspicious! But alas, the toy was not suitable, it was a little bit long and so he thought that he is able to hump on it! Each time we throw the toy for him, he end up reaching the toy and trying to hump on it! So we had to keep the toy away from him... Check out this picture, he was so agitated, he decided to run everywhere to look for the toy and this was the first time, he actually climb onto a box and try to prop himself up to check if the toy is on the shelf! Oh my gosh, so clever and to go thru such desperate means just to check out the toy!

Indeed hilarious!

Also on Sat, we had a really really busy day! We went to the Chinese Supermarket to shop for groceries, after returning home, I realise that Frosty's right eye appears to be really red, and he kept scratching it! Then he started to become a "one eye pirate"! We decide to rush him to the Animal emergency to get his eyes checked out but we had to wait for a couple of hours coz there's another emergency coming in before Frosty! We decided we couldn't wait since we had to attend Jervis surprise party. So we went back home and decide to just put normal saline on his eye to see if we could wash any debris or irritant away... And thank god it worked, after like 3 or 4 times throughout the night, his eye started to get better and no longer as red. How lucky we didn't go and see the doctor and have to pay for unexpected doctor fees! I must say, a first aid kit is definitely important at home and everyone should have 1... You should always bring along during trips and holidays as well!

1. Bandages (Pressure bandage for very bad cuts, Handyplasts for little cuts and wounds, triangular bandage, incase you need to secure a bone structure.)

The rest, see what you want to have, like charcoal pills for diarrhea, eno salt for constipation...I would recommend a half a year peep into your box to see if items need to be top up or expired and needs to be replaced! The list is never exhaustive in a first aid kit, depending on how big you want your kit to be, there are so many items out in the market to place in your kit and I must say they are really useful! I also had things like petroleum jelly glazed gauze to prevent your wound from sticking onto the bandage and I need to top that up too coz the other time Zhaohong fell and scratched himself during the ippt, he had finished using all! =)

Anyway darling concluded that Frosty had slept on his dirty work bag and had thus contaminated his poor little eye, luckily his eyes are huge and are so easy to get the drops in!

Photobucket

Oh 1 tip, when 1 eye is infected, you should not touch the affected eye and touch the unaffected side otherwise both sides might catch the infection. And remember to always wash your hands before and after handling wounds and infected areas! Hmmm maybe I should come up with step by step first aid lessons and pictures hehe for you guys to refer to and practice on my first aid techniques as well!
