The Rozen Family Visit
Monday, August 20, 2007
This weekend has been really nice. Jason's cousins- The Rozen family were here to visit!- Solomo, Connie, Shue-Li and Issac. The last time I met them was 2 years ago when Jason was in Tucson.
It was great meeting everyone again and Shue-Li and Issac have grown so much! Remember the last time we went to Disneyland LA and they were so much smaller!
Anyway yesterday we went on an Apache Road Trail which was quite a sight! Half of the journey was really rocky and bumpy though and I was a bit nauseous from the ride! Had to stop by a gas station to get some sour icebreakers!
We didn't manage to make it to our final destination though cause the road was so bumpy that Issac kept complaining! Hehe... Finally Solomo couldn't take Issac's whining any longer and we decide to head back. It was pretty cute... The whole family and especially Issac- Kinda reminds me of David Schwimmer's character- Ross in friends! Although we didn't make it to the dam we were suppose to reach, we still manage to catch quite a bit of sight! Shue-Li and Issac overlooking the mountains... Shue-Li, Issac, Me and Frosty at the rest stop... Jason and Frosty... Frosty and I want PEPSI! Its o hot... 98degrees! 1 of the magnificent view... Our family... Shue-Li, Frost and I
It's pretty much like a mini grand canyon. And there are about 2 lakes. Many americans drive their boats and jets up the canyon to the lake for water activities. Seems like loads of fun!
Frosty underwent a trauma too! We brought him along for the trail and we forgot to bring his booties. So during the first stop in the hills, he accidentally stepped on a cactus seed! Youch! I didn't realise till I notice a limp on his right hind foot! Pain Pain! I was pretty traumatised! When we were taking out the pricks, he was whining in pain! If you don't touch the pricks he is ok... But in the end, we manage to get all of them out... Poor baby, he looks a bit sore but after a while he was alright. I tried to touch the pricks that we pulled out and its extremely painful! Can you imagine Frosty having th epainful pricks on his paw for a good 15mins!?
Frosty and the painful cactus prick! Youch...
Anyway, it was his first long car trip and he did really well! I think when we are going back to S'pore, we shall have to drive him up to LA instead of going through the painful internal flight the last time we came... For this car trip, Frosty was really excited at first so he was prancing up and down the car seats. But after a while, he quiet down and on our way back from the trail, Frost even fell asleep on Daddy J's lap! How cute... First time I see him fell asleep in a moving vehicle... Brave boy... Frost falling asleep on Daddy J's lap...
Today, we went with the Rozen family to Jason's training area to see the F16s and we got really close to the hanger... Took some pictures and even went near the runway to see the planes take off! :) That was really cool, it was the first time I see them take off at the run way and it was so loud! We had to wear earplugs at the hanger! That was fun.
Us and the Rozen Family...
It was a great weekend... And now that they have left, I miss them... :( Sigh... Anyway will see them soon in LA !!! Yeah...
