Ho Ho Ho... Votes have been closed for 姐妹s wrist corsages. Here's the winner! Contemplating between buying materials to make on our own and to buy from "Promise". It cost $6.50 each. When we check out the materials at Spotlight... It is actually quite ex and time consuming to make on our own wor... So will order from "Promise" next week! :) Oh and they are game to give us a $0.50 discount on each corsage! Yipee Doddle!
No time to update on last week's food tasting. Both sides Dads and Mums were there plus J's Kor Chit and O's 二姑 and J's sis and brother in law, O's sis (whose working in Meritus Mandarin and there to comment on the food) and tiny Megan.
Food is just above average. Like the second dish best. Decor looks good to go... Flowers look a little bit pale though... So we decide to have the champange pink roses change to red roses instead. Coz the ballroom is so gold thus making the flowers look really pale...
It was a fun food tasting session. Both sides discussed about the 过大礼part as well. Both of us were clueless... Aparently the male side "matchmaker" which is going to be our dear sister Sylvia, will be bringing some gifts from the male side to the female side on one special day... O's mum request for some sweet stuff (Brown peanut sugar) and cakes and some canned pork legs. I think that's a about all... The common Teochew goodies... One piece of good news for everyone though esp the 姐妹s and 兄弟s... We won't need to follow the girl's dialect - Teochew customs as the girl is marrying into the guy's family so we will be following the male customs instead-and thank goodness J is Hokkien so we won't need to wake up early in the morning to leave the house! Yipee Doddle! But O's mum still need to find out about the finalised time for picking up of the bride!
Wedding cards are in print too. Should be ready soon we hope... Before CNY so that we can start writting the cards. RSVP still in progress... Still waiting for response from some people.
Also Make up and hair styling has been arrange for all the 5 ladies: J's mum, sis and kor chit plus O's mum and sister... Anyone wan to use them as well? Let us know, we can help to arrange. :) Its about $64 per pax.
Also we are still looking for J's pair of shoes for his white suit. Bloody difficult to find... AnNy suggestions? We have checked out Pedro, Shubar, Tangs, Beetles, Aldo...
Now looking for Videographer... Very expensive leh! Its $1000 for 10 hours... but apparently that's the market rate... Some people mention is consider cheap liao! Thinking of going ahead with Rhema Media or Steffine's Wedding... WIll update again! Till then people!
